With extensive experience creating for a wide range of industries, my expertise has come to span brand consulting, print and digital design, packaging, motion graphics, web, copywriting and social media management. I’ve been privileged to work with some of the best agencies throughout Sydney, working variously as a Creative Director, Senior Designer and Senior Copywriter. My passion is to create brands that are conceptually intelligent, visually unique, verbally authentic, and distinctively engaging.
I pride myself on creating brands and content with depth, informed by insights I’ve gathered through both academic and creative disciplines. The research areas that most significantly inform my design practice and writing include aesthetics, phenomenology, 4E cognition, poetics and musicology. I hold a Bachelor of Arts with double majors in Writing & Philosophy, a Master of Creative Writing, a Master of Research (English) and a Ph.D in English, with a dissertation exploring the intersections of phenomenology, rap music and contemporary American Poetry. In addition to extensive commercial copywriting in a variety of magazines, brochures, POS advertising and corporate documents, my work has also been published in Poetics Today, Meanjin, Cordite, Journal of Aesthetics and Phenomenology, Journal of New Music Research, Australian Poetry Members Anthology, and Stoned Crows & Other Icons: Prose Poems and Microfiction.
